About Chinese calligraphy styles

1x1 to 2x2 inches: $40 per Chinese character

2x2 to 8x8 inches: $100 per character

8x8 to 11x11 inches: $150 per character

These are prices based on the size of each Chinese character (word). The calligrapher will determine the appropriate paper size and the spacing between each character. 

Alternatively, you may state your preferred paper size, then I will recommend the appropriate character size for your order.

1x1 to 2x2 inches: $50 per character

2x2 to 8x8 inches: $150 per character

8x8 to 11x11 inches: $200 per character

If you specify a unique calligrapher's (sub-)style within the five major categories of style, I may not be technically capable of doing those not in my repertoire.

Artist's name seal - no charge

Each additional "mood seal" stamped at corner(s): $20

Mood seals, or "leisure seals" (闲章, xiánzhāng), are traditional Chinese carved stamps used to convey a poetic sentiment, mood, or philosophy in calligraphy and painting, distinct from name seals. Often hand-carved from stones, they feature short phrases in ancient seal script, acting as a decorative artistic expression.

• Over 5 characters, $25 for one additional character
• When you gift someone a Chinese calligraphy artwork, you have the option to add or not to add the recipient's name.
