Lucky words in Chinese calligraphy

Fu 福 - the most demanded and popular word

"Fu" (福, fú) in Chinese means "blessing," "good fortune," or "happiness". It is widely used, particularly during the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year), when it is written in black or gold on red paper. Hanging this word upside-down does not symbolize that "good fortune has arrived", but was actually forbidden from the perspectives of Chinese etymology and Book of Changes. In no occasion should this word be written on pure white paper unless it is mounted with other colors of margin.
